On June 28, the CSIC will present Science4 Policy (S4P), a collection of reports that seeks to transfer the knowledge generated in the CSIC to the non-scientific world, with special emphasis on politicians at all levels of public administration, in order to They can learn about and take advantage of the knowledge and science that is generated from the CSIC.

The collection seeks to develop, in a specific editorial product, what science, its questions and its answers, can contribute to the world of politics and the decision-making of public problems. In summary, this new collection seeks to present solid scientific evidence through thematic reports, as well as the research carried out in the different CSIC centers and institutes around a scientific and social problem.

The reports consist of three sections. The first presents the problem and what science knows about it. In the second, the lines of research are developed with the outstanding projects on the subject among the different CSIC institutes, and in the third and last part, the conclusions and recommendations for improvement and action are presented from the expert vision of the scientists. .

“Fighting plastic pollution” is the title of one of the reports in the S4P collection and has been coordinated by four researchers from the Susplast+ platform. In its second section, it describes the research activities that are being carried out in the PTI. This report will be presented by Juan Rodríguez-Hernández at one of the round tables that will take place at the CSIC presentation ceremony.
