On January 19, the 2nd Workshop of the H2020 iCAREPLAST project took place at URBASER Ute Ebro (Zaragoza, Spain). The event, entitled “Plastic Recycling Strategies, Current Status and Perspectives. iCAREPLAST Project”, was held at the Alfonso Maíllo Innovation Center, located in the López Soriano Technology Park, Zaragoza, and whose objective was to present and discuss different topics related to the plastics industry and recycling processes, focusing on the following aspects :
- Current situation of the plastic recycling market and perspectives within the framework of the circular economy.
- Emerging projects associated with mechanical and chemical recycling processes. Current problems and challenges.
- Current regulatory framework, with respect to Spain and the European Union. Advances associated with the regulatory framework: recycling, emissions, circular economy, participation of official bodies.
